A Cinema Regulation
Few had known that the old Cash & Carry Supermarket located in South Superhighway, Buendia, had undergone a major development. It has a cinema now and can somewhat be called a MALL.
We had our first experience (and i swear would be the last) of their cinema when we watched the “Black Knight”, that was an impromptu decision. We find their theater good and since its new, very clean. But something had caught my attention then when i was in line to buy a ticket, there was a moviegoer arguing with the cashier for a refund of purchased tickets, the reason is they were not allowed to bring in their food inside the cinema (with them are plastic bags from Taters). And there is advisory posted that food with sauce are not allowed inside.
Since we are not concerned about it, i had it slipped my mind. Not until last night. Friday, end of the month, we are planning to watch the first movie of KC Concepcion, since its only the 3rd screening day and its payday, we expect there would be quite a herd of moviegoers in Glorietta and Greenbelt (theaters near our office). So we decided to go in Cash & Carry instead, anyway they got new cinemas. We are in a hurry and trying to catch the 7pm show, so we just ordered a take out sandwich from a nearby restaurant.
Upon getting there, we noticed that the advisory for allowable food to bring had changed, and is now stricter… it says “Only popcorn, chips and canned softdrinks are allowed inside the cinema”, i was like, oh my, it wasnt like that the first time we were there, i was so disappointed, but still i got the courage to ask the cashier if the food we bought would be fine, unfortunately, NO was the answer! Whattaaa rule!!!! So, we left that night disappointed and just decided to postpone the movie plan, and swore not to return there for a movie :(
