Day 3 was a whole day of meeting and interaction. On the 4th day, our last day in HongKong, a free day for us as the meeting had concluded the day before. Our initial plan is to tour Macau, as our flight is 6pm that day, we checked out early in the hotel and checked in early our baggage in the airport. As we are nearing the port, a strong rain poured down that makes us change our plan, so we just headed to the Disneyland for a childlike adventure. I am so happy and excited as we enter the gate of the magical park. We rode in the train and disembark at the photo ops stops. We posed with Mickey, Minnie, Pooh and Friends, the Chipmunks, Goofy, and Pluto. Read more…

HongKong,
Trips
Our first night in Hongkong was mostly spent in shopping. I truly admire their rail transit, it’s very convenient to commuters of every kind – locals or foreigners – and timely as well, a taxi is not a necessity here if you are a tourist. At first, we roamed the malls and stores near our hotel; by the way, we stayed at Parklane Hotel at Causeway Bay, fronting the Victoria Park. We strolled along the streets of causeway bay and gone window shopping at the Times Square. Read more…

HongKong,
Trips
Every year, we have this Asia Pacific Independence Meeting, wherein Independence team from each asia pacific member firms gather for a workshop/training/meeting regarding the initiatives of Deloitte on independence. Last year it was held in Bangkok, Thailand, which i failed to blog here..
The trip to HongKong is quite memorable, and i guess, a trip that i will not forget.
Our flight is 8am and upon checking in the Philippine Airlines at Terminal 2, we were advised that we might be denied of boarding due to overbooking of the airline, (again! i was previously denied of boarding an aircraft too, airphils, but that’s to local destination only) and was given a choice of getting in the next flight but will be upgraded to business class or to wait until 3pm but we will be given P3,000 and a free roundtrip ticket to Hongkong that is valid for 1 year. Though our meeting will formally start the next day, and we actually can afford to travel that late, but it is also important to us to commence our shopping and sightseeing early, so we just decided to take the next flight in a business class, still a very good bargain!

Iloilo,
Trips
Lou Franz is a former officemate of mine, a very charming and kind person. When we visited their beach resort in Tigbauan, Iloilo, he’s so accommodating that he didnt showed up =D (he’s so busy that time) but his father has been so hospitable, that we feel sooo welcome! Thanks father!
I am with the whole Tuvillo family plus the extensions (gf’s of siblings) and its a Sunday, after attending the Holy Mass, we geared up for the outing! The resort is simple but very clean, nothing to expect much of but is good enough! As for the rates, i have no idea, but if some readers here were interested to know, i can get it for you =)

Iloilo,
Trips
I was born in Antique, a province near Iloilo.. so its not new to me to visit the place.. but this time is different, i am coming to Iloilo to visit my boyfriend’s family (namanhikan po ako )*wink*
I will not dwell on my acquaintance with his family – it turned out okay – but in the beauty of the places and structures that we visited while we were there.
On the very day of our arrival, we just checked in our bagages (take note, bagages! hehe) at SM City – Iloilo, then proceeded to UP Campus in Iloilo City, UP has two campuses in Iloilo, one in the city and the other in Miag-ao. Why bother visit UP, well, that’s his alma mater, so proud to show it to me.
Next stop was the Molo Church, which patron saint is St. Anne, the mother of Mama Mary. The church still has the colonial touch (Spanish style pulpit), like the one you also see in San Agustin Church in Intramuros. We then travelled to see the Jaro Cathedral, from which resides the stone image of Our Lady of Candles and said to be getting bigger in years.

For the first time, I will openly criticize a movie from star cinema…
I always admire Star Cinema for producing quality local movies. And as much as possible, I watch them. There would be times that I feel unsatisfied with the movie, but still there will be reasons to make it worth my time and money… until for the first time, I watched For the First Time starring KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez.
